My Project

My class consists of 22 students. These boys and girls are unique, wonderful individuals who want to read, but don't always have access to books at home. I want to make them love reading so they can be lifelong learners.

Of those 22 students, only 1 child is reading on grade level.

I do not have a classroom library that has a variety of books for my students who need easy readers and lower-level books. The books I have chosen will give them many choices in both the fiction and nonfiction categories. Some of my students do not like to read chapter books but devour graphic novels. They will love these and I hope to get them excited and get a book in their hands! Two of the books will help me with the lessons we do for social/emotional learning.
