This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of very talented artists, who come from an economically disadvantaged area. Their disadvantage doesn't stop them from doing the best they can to create their artwork.
My art students see the world in a different way and they walk around, trying to capture the beauty of their surroundings into their artwork.
Some students like to draw, others like to paint, and some like taking photographs. My art students are very passionate about the work they create. They push themselves to complete a rigorous curriculum, in hopes of obtaining college credit.
My Project
In our classroom we have new iPads. We are super excited to have these devices as they are a great new addition to our learning environment. However we need a way to protect our devices from wear and tear and or any accidental drops or spills. A great way to protect our iPads would be with iPad Cases to keep them safe. Another way to fully use these iPads is with memory card readers, this is a necessity as It will help my students transfer files from their personal devices to our school devices and vise versa. Also our students really enjoy having just the right music playing in the background with some nice speakers. Thanks to these new iPads my students can create and have peace of mind knowing that the iPads are protected, be able to link up and play music in the Art Room and create in any media, as they have the ability to switch between traditional materials to digital materials with the use of the memory card readers! I love the concept of our studio class, what gets these students mind rolling as they are trying to define their style and uniqueness as they try to come into their own as Artists. And once they do, once they figure it out, that’s it, the sky’s the limit!!
