I am excited to give my students the opportunity to plant a class reading garden and read books about how they can help our planet. When asking my class about plants and gardens, only 2 students said they had ever planted something.
I want them to know that even 7 year olds can make an impact on our planet!
It's not just Earth Day that I want them thinking about ways to be helpful...it's every day!
The seeds that we are currently growing are in peat pots on the window ledges in our classroom. A germination kit and grow light would allow us to grow plants and flowers throughout the school year, not just in the spring.
