This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

They are so eager to learn, but my biggest challenge is getting them to the lab with working headphones. Toner for the printer would make hands on activities more interactive!"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute...we are members of the human race...with passion."-Dead Poets Society

My students are extremely eager to learn.

They are so excited to review the few books I keep in our classroom library. They ask for more work, and would love more interactive activities on the computer. We are in a lower income area, and many of our students do not have the opportunity to learn typing skills. When we use the computer lab, it can be distracting because of the computers having to be on sound to hear the activity. Headphones would help so much!

My Project

iReady activities in the computer lab pump up the students. They are eager to start using technology in Language Arts. They will learn more vocabulary words, and the proper way to use them. We will read and enjoy reading in class because of our great variety of amazing books!

I am a first year teacher and these donations would improve my teaching strategies.

The enthusiasm I see in the kids, is one I really wish to embrace and run through learning full throttle. Though, I can only take advantage of the resources I have right now. These donations would help us love to learn!
