My Project

Throughout the year, students at The STEM Academy work on various projects to enhance their math education. While these activities are fun and engaging, the cost to implement each activity or project adds up for a teacher.

By creating engaging math activity and projects, students begin to build a love for mathematics.

Each item selected will be used to help encourage my students’ interest in mathematics.

Examples of projects: students create a zoo animal out of boxes and must find the volume and surface area of these piece used to create their zoo animal.

Students research and create a catapult made out of popsicle sticks and rubber bands. Students launch a marshmallow 20 times and collect the data. Then students analyze the data by calculating mean, median, mode, range, MAD and create graphs to display the data.

Mrs. Creeden will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 5.
