This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Hello, my name is Angela Booth and this is my first year teaching High School Resource English. I am certified in FACS and have been teaching all areas for 18 years. Due to teacher shortage, and since I am certified in Special Education, I was "placed in..ELA" asked to start teaching a Resource English class. These donations will continue to enhance my English classroom that I strive to create. My students really enjoy reading, cooperatively and independently! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind and are the types of books they would enjoy reading. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. I currently have very few supplies and I am asking for any assistance to help these students understand the value of READING!
The books and supplies that I have selected will help reach my students at their current level and show them how they can excel.
Students will be able to focus on the books at hand, while learning at a different pace of their peers. In this literacy rich world, any interaction with reading will increase their comprehension as well as their desire to learn more!
