Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are mostly financially disadvantaged. My specific students have disabilities, and require many different tools in order to be successful. Currently they only need school supplies. I have not met them yet, but looking forward to helping each of them. All donations help!

My Project

I am requesting toothpaste and toothbrushes, loos leaf paper, crayons and folders. My students will receive a number of activities to do at home and will need these basic school supplies to complete them. As they are lower elementary students, some of those activities will include basic hygiene as well.

One of our first lessons will be Schools Around the World where we will see how students from other schools are conducting classes.

It will be interactive and create community outside of the classroom. We are all virtual, but basic school supplies are needed. They will have journals to keep their thoughts throughout the lesson, and share their experiences at the end of the course.
