This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These book on my DonorsChoose profile are all handpicked by students and meant to help each of them connect to books in ways they never have. All students deserve diverse books that mirror who they are.

I want to make them feel welcome and important by being able to see themselves in every book in my room.

When students see themselves in the books they read, they alter their beliefs about themselves as well as their perception of others and its these experiences I want for all of them.
