My Project

As a school counselor, I am always looking to improve my work. One challenging area is engaging small groups with my current resources and set up. While teaching small groups, this style of table will allow me to interact with each student on a more personal and individualized level. This will allow me to support students deeper as we learn about topics such as emotional regulation, stress management, building self-esteem, and many other SEL topics we might cover in a small group setting.

I believe that SEL is currently the most crucial topic in schools, and this resource will allow me to reach my students in a way that I currently cannot.

I am lucky to work with some incredible students and staff, and I hope that those in my community can all see the benefit from increased focus on SEL concepts. Through building connections with students, I am hoping to strengthen not only the skills of my students but the entire community in which I work!
