This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My name is Mr. Paul and I teach children with severe special needs at RMS in San Jose. I have a class of four 2nd and 3rd Graders. I wanted to make this project so students could get extra resources to help them grow.

Getting a colored printer would allow me to prep lessons and printable texts at a faster rate allowing me to help my students grow.

Getting a vacuum would allow me to clean my classroom rug which sees a lot of traction and crumbs in a special day class. In addition, a weighted sensory vest would help my students to stay focused and calm when doing their work.

This is my first year teaching and I want to be able to provide my students with the most support possible, be that sensory needs, academic needs, or even motor needs. I want to be equitable to my students and allow them to achieve their goals.
