Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a school that has a high population of low-income families and students who lack resources. Therefore, I believe that it is essential to create a classroom and environment that provides and rewards its learners for their hard work and dedication to improving academically and personally! One area of focus at my school is a program called iReady where we are trying to close the learning gap with students and get them caught up at grade level. This program does require the use of headphones for help, directions, and instruction. Headphones would benefit all students in their learning with our program. These learners also require positive reinforcement to keep them on track and motivated. I would like to open a store where learners can get reward for their improvement in our program and could get incentives for their hard work such as stickers, stress relieving fidget toys, mechanical pencils, erasers, and fun keychains. To be able to provide these incentives to my learners, I feel like I would be able to provide the best possible learning experience for my students and encourage, motivate, and reward them for their hard work!
