This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are proud members of the Ferguson-Florissant School District. With all of the challenges our district experiences, the students strive to get connected to a fast changing, technology driven world.

Our students show time and again that they can come together to support each other.

Students and staff alike are developing programs that promote inclusiveness and building a sense of community in the wake of public perceptions about the district. Our students have the ability to shine.

I would like to ensure that students at all ability levels have the opportunity to reach their goals.

My Project

The Ferguson-Florissant school district has experiencing some economic changes over the past few years. We are constantly looking for ways to bring our building into the twenty-first century. Our building is aging and there is mold in various places. We have a few documented instances where teachers and students are getting sick. I would at least like to provide a healthy, clean room to create an atmosphere conducive to learning. Some of the projectors in our department are dying out and need replacing. Our departmental budget is not sufficient to replace them. My chair is shaky at best, and has been transferred from room to room over the years. It needs a refresher.
