This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a new teacher I am slowly building a classroom that my students will look forward to coming to and being a part of a learning community that is ready to engage and learn. I have recently added a lot of books to my classroom library but have little room to display them. I like the six-tier bookcase so that I can separate the books by genre and reading level. The lights are helpful when students wish to read or conduct independent reading with the lights off but still enjoy some low light for a more relaxed work environment.

Additionally, the presence of the couch will provide a relaxed environment for my students to feel welcome and can also be a positive incentive for students to complete their work effectively and on time.
