Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazingly sweet with curious minds. They are hardworking and always strive to be better and grow their minds with every opportunity. Their curious and inquisitive minds are always asking questions and looking to books for answers.
Their enthusiasm when they returned to school, eager to learn, was inspiring to see.
Especially after the past year, having my students in my classroom shows me how much they missed being at school. I want to do my best to make sure that enthusiasm, their inquisitiveness, and curiosity never stops. To promote this and encourage this I want to provide them with a wonderful library.
My Project
We recently had a book tasting even within the classroom, where the students were able to pick up and try out different genres. They were so excited and attentive with their reading and they genuinely enjoyed the experience. I want to provide more books for them to be excited about. A book they can look forward to reading during independent reading or buddy reading centers. Books we can easily use to do quick book reports on.
Reading is such an important factor in education, especially in young learners.
No matter what age, there is always a feeling of excitement when you get a new book in your hands. A new library will offer a better print rich environment for my classroom.
