My Project
Students are recovering from the Pandemic at an impressive and courageous pace. Students are overcoming social-emotional hardships that most of us have never endured in our lifetimes. The resources I am getting for my Special Ed classroom provides a safe and fun learning environment. After Covid, my students selected flamingo/pink/light blue as a relaxing and fun theme for our classroom. Students and other teachers as well as myself have since donated items to continue with the fun theme of flamingos. Many of my students take "space " or "quiet time" in my room and its important they feel relaxed and in a safe space. Many students have attention issues and enjoy fidgets, calm lighting and colors to help them refocus and rejoin the classroom to complete their work. The supplies I am ordering are things that I have currently run out, folders, pencils, etc and the kids could really use more of each. I feel these items will really benefit the students in their every day learning as well as promoting positive emotional and social behaviors.
