I have been working on developing a better organizational system to help my band students keep track of all of their music, method books, and other educational materials throughout the year. Up to this point, it has been each student's own responsibility to provide a folder or something similar to keep their music in throughout the course of the school year. I teach in a underprivileged, rural the large majority of cheap and easily accessible binders available for my students to purchase locally are not built to withstand the rigors of daily band rehearsals. This is why I decided to do some research and find actual music binders that I could loan out to students every year in an effort to help them become more organized.
Purchasing a classroom set of binders like these will help the students in all of my various bands to spend less time looking for where their music disappeared to and more time working on learning to play their instruments.
Every single one of the students in my bands has the capability to become an amazing musician, and I want to do everything I can in my power to help provide them with materials that will aid them in their journey.
