Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our high school music students in grades 9-12 are very interested in the music topics that are covered in their Theory, Harmony and A.P. Music Theory classes. A majority of them are considered low income and have difficulty completing technology based assignments.

The economic status of our students makes it necessary for our music program to provide access to technology that will help them practice their music writing skills. Many of our students do not have access to technology outside of the school setting.

A music writing station is being set up in one of our classrooms. We need a printer that students can use to print their music writing projects. We are interested in integrating the use of HP technology in our classroom. The laser printer that we are requesting will give our students an opportunity to print high quality, professional looking music manuscripts.

Many of our students are interested in pursuing music at the college level and have a high interest in learning and creating music. Giving them access to technology that encourages their creative development will motivate them to higher levels learning as they put into practice what they have learned in the classroom. Please help to make this project a reality. Help my students experience music writing with high quality technology as they continue the life long task of learning music.
