My Project
My goal for this project is to help give students a healthy way to express grief. These supplies will be used to create an obstacle course to teach coping skills.
Students will have opportunities to practice coping skills through gross motor, calming, breathing, meditation and yoga activities.
Having the opportunity to learn and practice coping skills will be invaluable in their grief journey. Grief can be expressed in many different ways. Kids don't always have the skills to to handle unknown feelings in healthy ways. Grief groups provide an opportunity to talk about a shared experience and learn new ways to honor their loved ones.
