Moving While We Work

My students need a variety of flexible seating choices to activate their learning environment for those that are constantly on the go and to give some students the extra little movement to sustain their attention span.

My Students

My classroom is full of life, love and all around fun. I teach 3rd grade and with so much focus on testing, we try to make learning enjoyable and fun. I try to provide my classroom atmosphere as a home away from home. We consider ourselves a huge family. My students are fun, lovable and constantly on the go. My students come in each day full of life and ready to learn. I have many students that require movement and several brain breaks throughout the day.

My Project

The items I am trying to incorporate into my classroom are to help sustain concentration on their work while moving. Many of my students need that little extra movement to stay focused while we are learning. The wobble chairs will help my students that are wanting to stand and allow them to move and twist in their chair as they are listening or working. The plastic stools will help easy movement around the room when we are working in small groups and the feasible stacking capability will help when we need space on the floor to work. I also would like to incorporate the Stay-n-Play Balance Balls for my students that need that extra movement, yet cannot sit still in a chair or on a stool. Please help in any way to help my students become the most successful students I challenge them to be daily. All of these flexible seating options will allow my students to have more concentration on the skills and help them to stay focused.
