Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The group of students I work with are members of our drumline, most of them are some of the hardest working members of our program. The students we have are some of the most energetic kids I have ever worked with and they are a very hungry group of kids that want help rebuild this program back up to it's former glory. We have a strong commitment to excellence here and we push the kids to be the best they can be in and out of our program.
During our 2019-2020 school year we have a number of big plans for this program, some of them we could't have dreamed of doing with this group in years past.
This year the students will be competing all over Norther California and if we play our cards right also Southern California.
My Project
These are the materials that will allow students to begin the process to start moving up to the next level in there marching game. They will be able to get top notch professional style drill sheets with the pywear program, the puffy tenor mallets are just one more great tool for the marching Toms player to have at there disposal to set themselves ahead of the pack. The marimba mallet packs are to ensure we are getting the best possible sound out of our finely tuned musical instruments. Last but not least is our new cymbal bag we need to carry all of the new cymbals we've gotten over the past year or so.
