Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever worked out or participated in an activity where music was involved? Did you find that your intensity and motivation increased as you listen to the music? My students need that extra motivation to help them increase their personal physical fitness levels. My students love music!

My school is a title I school.

I see over 1300 students in one week. My students are very good students. They are well disciplined and understand my rules and expectations for my class. I know that I have a lot of students who struggle with family issues at home, with grades, with feeling accepted by their peers. Through all their trails they are strong and they try hard in what they do and want to achieve.

My Project

I have students who are athletes and enjoy working out and are always participating. I also have many students who struggle with feeling comfortable with participating. These students are have many hardships and struggles they face everyday. By providing the iPOD touch and adapters I will be able to enhance my teaching in a way that I can reach out to all my students. I know that by providing this technology for my students I can increase their physical fitness levels and overall health. I will be able to not only play music but also project interactive demonstrations, interactive activities, timer and rotation cues, task reminders and be able to introduce the students to different forms for physical fitness that they wouldn't have known of before. I can teach zumba, yoga, dance aerobics,cross fit workouts and many more to them. I feel like the sky is the limit with how my student's lives will change for the better. students will learn what they like to do so they can be active.

The donations given for my project will make a big difference in each of the lives I teach.

Students will leave my class each day with a better attitude of physical fitness which may lead to better choices made by them in the future. With all that my students struggle with providing and environment where they feel comfortable in and enjoy their education and personal lives will only improve!
