Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a group of fabulous 1st graders who are becoming great leaders through our leadership program. They are eager to learn and want to be challenged.

My students attend a small lovely school in Southern California.

We are a diverse group of students consisting of English learners of various cultures and learning abilities. We are also a high-achieving school that is economically challenged. Funding is very limited due to our school size.

I am requesting some PE equipment. This weekend, I attended a wonderful PE training and am so excited to teach my kiddos the skills and activities. They will gain more confidence, support from peers, work on teamwork, and have tons of fun. They will be more likely to be active adults too.

I could use these materials to teach my students inside and outside of the classroom. These balls will be used to incorporate other academic content as well. The balls will help my students work on their rolling, tossing, catching skills, etc. Those skills will transfer over to other sports such as kickball, bowling, and baseball.

The sturdy equipment will be used over and over. As a result, I won't have to get cheaper quality ones that won't last very long. These PE materials will be helping the environment so we don't create more waste.
