My Students

I am a teacher in a Head Start classroom that consists of 3-5 year-olds. The majority of the children in our program come from low income families. Head Start offers children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years a safe, friendly, and educational environment for them to learn during this very crucial time when their brains are developing more rapidly than any other time in their life. I want to offer these children the best that I can because they deserve the best.

The children in my classroom are the future, please help me to prepare them to the best of our ability using the best materials available to them.

Our school provides breakfast, lunch and a snack for each child daily, between the basic needs of the children and funding to keep the school running sometimes money falls short. Unfortunately, the money must be cut somewhere and funding for new classroom materials may suffer. My hope is to raise these funds to give my kids everything they deserve and more!

My Project

This project is going to give the children in my classroom too learn many different concepts while they are moving and having fun. Children learn best when they are engaged and having fun, with these CDs and large group materials all the children in my classroom will be successful. The children will be moving thier bodies to expell extra engery while learning about many different topics such as numbers, colors, rhyming, speech, body parts, and emotions. My classroom currently has a very limited music library and I would like to expand it to give the children a better classroom experience. With these CDs and large group materials, I will be able to plan fun activities for our large group time everyday that will get the children up and moving.
