This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
In my second grade classroom, each student has their own unique way of expressing what they know and what they have learned. I've been teaching for 11 years and technology in the classroom has become increasingly important. Students need to know how to use and apply it effectively.
Primary-aged students are just as capable of using technology as their older peers.
They are imaginative and creative. They are curious and willing to take risks. They deserve access to technology that can enhance their learning experience.
My Project
My students will not participate in this professional development directly. I will learn how students can use Apple's apps to do anything from coding to creating digital presentations that go beyond making slides. I will also learn how to more effectively use an iPad as an interactive tool for not only managing my student's projects but communicating with students in real time to provide support and feedback.
This project will have a huge effect on the way my students express their learning!
This professional development will allow me to teach the application of Apple products to projects and activities that my students create.
