Our middle school has a wide variety of highly energetic 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! For many of these students, they say Health and Physical Education is their favorite subject. The students here enjoy remaining physically active through physical education classes, extracurricular activities, and/or recreational sports.
Having enough equipment for all the students in our middle school has remained a challenge.
Our students typically have to share equipment which causes a lot of wait time, resulting in less physical activity.
My Project
If this project is fully funded, more students will have the opportunity to learn more life long games and skills. Students will be able to play Kan Jam inside or outside, along with kickball, and pin dodgeball. This equipment can be used inside or outside, so students are active no matter the weather.
All of the equipment improves hand eye coordination, encourages team sports, how to work with others, and physical conditioning.
It is important for the kids to learn new games and to understand that a fit lifestyle is important. My students will benefit from having this equipment as it is difficult to provide them with everything that they need due to school budgeting and limited teacher spending. I am confident that these games and equipment will provide the entire school with fun and exciting games that also encourage teamwork!
