My Students

My students are young men and young ladies who live in the "most dangerous" city in the US as well as being labeled one of the "highest poverty rates". They struggle daily in many ways to make it to school, but once they arrive they are ready to go. We have breakfast together, and then we are off on our learning adventure for the day. My students come to school to learn. They have plans for college and to reach those goals we push every day to overcome the struggles they face.

My Project

My students need balance ball seats, bouncy seats, stability stools, and bouncy bands to allow those students options for success in my classroom. Many of my students need seats where they can move, rotate, and swivel without the chair falling. My students asked at the end of the year could they sit in my bean bag chairs and bucket seats I made but they don't always work with our desks, so from there our project was born. My students will use the numerous difference options all day and everyday to allow them to have success in my classroom. This project allows my kids to move and groove but still learn and stay focused on our lessons. The students will be so excited to see them in the classroom!
