My Project

Through stop motion animation students will learn and use valuable skills in both technology and life while solidifying knowledge in content areas. In today's world, students need as many opportunities as possible to create using technology. Their futures depend on their abilities to problem solve and persevere through challenges.

Stop motion promotes critical thinking and collaboration as students work together to plan and execute their stop projects.

Group members must practice communication and teamwork skills in order to be successful. These skills will follow them through life in working with a wide variety of people and situations.

Stop motion will be a fun and engaging way for students to demonstrate their understanding of a concept. For example, students may show their new expertise on the water cycle by creating a world in which a character (even a drop of water) moves through an entire cycle. The possibilities are endless.

My students are always eager and excited to learn and use new things. They have different ways of expressing their creativity, and some occasionally need a nudge to step out of their comfort zones. Stop motion is a way to be creative without having to put your own face on a project. It allows for a bit of anonymity that provides the comfort some students need. We would be very grateful to have the supplies needed to create these projects.
