Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a second-year Special Education teacher who is moving from a classroom with more sensory needs. I will be focusing on getting students to safely join group activities and use flexible seating options to engage in activities for longer periods of time.

The main focus of this project is using light box activities to create engaging learning experiences for reluctant learners.

With a sensory light table, will practice using colorful letter, number, and shape blocks to create group conversations relating to numeracy and literacy. Other items in my project will be to give students access to sensory materials which will support the main goal of extended periods of time where students are able to sit for learning activities.
