My Project
We need help getting our PreK students moving during the school day! Unfortunately our PreK Center does not have an outdoor space for the students to play in. So we are hoping to build fun and motivating movement opportunities indoors for these 3 and 4 year olds, most of whom have significant special needs.
What does this look like?
We want to create a sensory pathway or an obstacle course in one of the school's hallways. The various vinyl floor spots/shapes we are requesting will direct the students to do such things as animal walks, different kinds of jumps, and balance activities. As they move through the obstacle course they will be provided sensory input, allowing for calm but alert bodies, which will set-up each child for learning. This project will impact every single student at our school!
