My Project

Some students have a hard time sitting in class. As much as I try to intertwine movement into my lessons, some students need to move more than others.

Movement through the wiggle seat, can help students focus while meeting their need for movement and balance in the classroom.

Students can use the wiggle cushion at their desk or sitting on the floor. The movement may help some students safely move about without tripping or distracting others. This will also improve alertness and time on task.

I have had parents ask if we have these available to help with attention and posture and we do not. Occupational therapist recommend wiggle seats to help meet sensory needs or students and to increase student focus. I think any students that would like a wiggle cushion, should have the option of having one.
