Children and even adults were not designed to sit still all day! Children are more active, full of energy, and need to MOVE!
"Kore chairs rock and spin on a gently domed base, encouraging active sitting and exercising the back."-KORESTOOL
My students are very active and full of energy!
They are constantly moving and are not fans of sitting still. I have 18 students in my class this year and LOVE each one! Our school is an A school and has been for years. We are super proud of what we have achieved. Our student's education and safety are our primary concern at all times. I take pride in knowing that at the end of each year, my students don't want to "leave." They come to school each day with a smile on their faces, even if they're having a rough time at home. Why? Because they LOVE school!
My Project
When I first began my teaching career I thought students needed to sit still, criss cross applesauce, hands in their lap, facing forward at all times! It bothered me so much when they would do the opposite. Now, through experience and research, I understand and KNOW that children are still able to learn while fidgeting or moving or even turned around. Our world is changing and so is the way children learn. My goal is to allow students the ability to safely move while seated. The Kore Stool will allow this. Not only that, it is wonderful for their growing bones and muscles! They are proven to exercise the back while working and learning and enhance long-term back health and strength.
Your donation will allow my students the comfort of sitting at their desks or computer, while moving in a healthy way that will not distract others around them.
I would love to have enough Kore Stools for my Guided Reading table and Computer Station.
