My Students
In our kindergarten class, we do our best learning when we can be active and engaged. Many of these students come from low-income families, and have experienced trauma in their young lives. I want to create a classroom environment that allows these wonderful students to be comfortable and enjoy their learning experience.
We need to move and groove to be our best!
Many of my students are active and need to move their bodies to be engaged in their learning.
My Project
The materials for this project will be used to create a flexible seating classroom for kindergartners. Many of my students do their best work when they have a choice to move around the room, or use an alternative seating arrangement. The Wobble Cushions, Wobble Chairs, and plastic stack stools will provide these students with different options to meet their needs.
When students have the freedom to move, they are more active and engaged in their learning.
They retain their knowledge better and are more excited about learning. With the addition of Wobble Cushions, Wobble Chairs, and stack stools, students will be able to choose the spot that works best for them and gives them ownership of their learning experience.
