My Students

The students in my special education program are hard working students. They love hands on activities and activities that involve moving about the classroom. I have students that range in grade levels, from Kindergarten to 4th Grade. This requires me to have materials available at many different grade levels to meet their needs. As a new teacher, this project will help me build my library of hands-on, interactive resources for not just my current students, but my future students as well.

My Project

The activities such as the floor mat games will help me get my students up and moving, while also learning. The alphabet letter tubs will give my students a chance to feel and see objects starting with given letters. All of these resources will give my students the chance to generalize what they've learned.

These resources will not only help build my students' academic abilities, but I have also chosen resources that will help build their skills in other areas such as fine motor skills and social emotional skills.

These are areas that many of my students also struggle in.
