My Students

I love the dynamics of a classroom of children with so many different backgrounds! The students in our classroom come with such a variety of life experiences that we constantly learn and grow from each other. There are many languages spoken throughout the day to help and guide each other on our wonderful learning journey.

Some might be overwhelmed by the statistics that go along with our school.

Over 80% of the children come from low income homes, over 30% are English Language Learners and a significant number of children are homeless. What I see each day is a room full of happy faces that feel safe and loved and love to learn!

My Project

I would love to start the year off with more flexible seating choices. Our classroom has a lot of what we need, except for TABLES! Everyone knows teachers spend a lot of their own money, help to purchase these Lakeshore tables would be amazing!

I feel allowing the children the freedom to move around (while still respecting the classroom rules and environment) will lead to a higher level of productivity and learning.

Tables will be a huge part of this new adventure that I am looking forward to beginning. The 2018-2019 school year is going to be amazing year for all learners, students and teachers!
