My Project
Each year my teachers assign various projects where my students have to create movies using a green screen. They might be pretending that they are reporters reporting on the Trojan War for their 8th-grade world history class, or they might be doing a book trailer for their 7th-grade English class. The students always book time in the library to do these projects and utilize our supplies. Green screen projects have become so popular that we need a few more tripods to hold our iPads while we are recording and more green screens.
One of my favorite library lessons with my 6th graders is a stop-motion movie they create using LEGO bricks!
I teach them how to navigate the Stop Motion app, plan out their scenes, and make those scenes come to life with LEGO bricks. This project will give us more people figurines, LEGO animals, and LEGO accessories to use for our scenes.
