My students need 8 Hokki Stools to allow movement while learning. These Hokki Stools allow high-energy students to have movement they need while learning.
I work in an inner-city school located in an impoverished area. Most of my students are living at or below the poverty line. Even the most basic materials are in short supply, which means reaching into my own pocket every year even for things such as paper and pencils. Despite the obstacles, my students come to school eager to learn each day. There is never a dull moment in our classroom.
I have 29 energetic 4th graders getting ready to take on the world!

My Project
Do you recall the uncomfortable blue chairs that we all had to sit in all day in school? My students use those chairs all day long. I try to provide more comfortable seating for them throughout the day. We have a few wiggle seat cushions for their seats at their desks already that allow movement and I have seen a dramatic increase in their ability to focus while learning. My students have requested more alternative seating options, they need to move and they know it!
These ergonomic wiggle chairs would increase comfort and concentration during small-group time.
My students would undoubtedly appreciate having comfortable chairs to sit in while learning. I strive to create a fun, comfortable learning environment and provide my students with the tools to help them succeed, to be able to provide these wiggle seats for them at our guided reading and math table would mean so much to me and my students.
