This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The focus of this project is to provide my students with materials that will be used as motivational reinforcement when practicing their goals.
Many of my under-privileged students do not get many opportunities for active physical movement, which is essential for a healthy mind and body.
I would like to provide them with materials that can be used (rain or shine) to promote healthy habits while also motivating them to learn and practice their communication skills. In addition to practicing language skills, they will be able to facilitate physical development, e.g. hand-eye coordination, balance, strength, etc. Sounds like a win-win to me!
