Movement, That's What 5th Graders Need From Us!

Help me give my students the options of flexible seating. Students need to be able to move around during the day. With flexible seating, the students are able to rock, stand, which in turn keeps them more alert.

My Project

We will be able to provide our two fifth grade classrooms with more flexible seating options. Flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which helps them get the wiggles out! During independent working times students are seeking out different spaces within our room. Currently, they enjoy sitting on the floor with a clipboard, using one of the few stools we have, or the one stand up desk we have.

By contributing to this project, you are helping give more of our students access to flexible seating options, which can help to create a positive and comfortable learning environment.
