My Project
Lately my students have been loving different opportunities to move to music, especially with props! They love using dance scarves and with the younger kids I even got to make their own ribbon wands. Trying to incorporate new ways to safely encourage movement has been a little tricky.
My students need something exciting but safe.
I've found that they respond really well to my expectations with props, and I rarely have to remove them from students. However, it's still a priority when I'm looking for new ways to get students to match music with their bodies.
What I love about these hoops is that we will be able to use them in our movement and in different games. With limited space but hundreds of students, the multi-use will be a huge bonus. So many of students do not have access to exciting props like this at home. Or even a safe way to move their bodies. These hoops would be a boon to many of my students who find the bulk of their movement is done at school.
