My students need a color printer in our classroom to print photos that allow us to reflect on the progress we've made.

My Students
My movement classroom is an outlet for the motor development of all 162 students in a Brooklyn based Pre-K center, where the majority of students/families in our center are immigrants from various countries and are English Language Learners. On a weekly basis, each Pre-K class visits a variety of enrichment/cluster classrooms where the cluster teacher approaches each topic from the angle of their subject (Art, STEAM, Math, and Movement).
My students explore each Pre-K unit of study in a unique way: from their head all the way down to their toes!
My classroom is a safe space to learn about all the topics they are introduced to in their classroom, through the movement of their bodies. Students who are still grasping the English language, certain concepts, or are simply looking for an extra challenge are excited to have a space where their bodies do the talking!
My Project
A great color printer will allow us to print movement games, vocabulary words, and authentic photos of the students engaging in movement activities. This printer will allow for an endless supply of educational references around the classroom.
Since there is no tangible authentic work, such as artwork, produced in our movement classroom, we use photos as a way to reflect on the progress we've made and the experiences we have shared.
Students feel a great sense of accomplishment and validation when they see photos of themselves displayed across the classroom. We would be so grateful for an opportunity to decorate our classroom with our memories!
