Movement Motivation

Help me give my students the option to try these different seats, (Wobble Chairs, Yoga Balls, Balance Disc, Surf Desk, and Stools) and decide which will best help them in their learning.

My Students

I have some of the cutest students. They are such hard workers and are always so interested in trying new things and improving their learning. We work hard as a class to achieve our goals each year.

They are also extremely active, movement is constant in my third grade class!

One of our favorite things as a class are our math centers. My third graders are fantastic. They are always willing to go with the flow when something comes up and they are constantly supporting each other in their learning.

My Project

I am asking for materials to help me provide flexible seating in my classroom. Flexible seating, such as wobble chairs and stools, allows students to have the chance to choose what is best for them in their learning environment.

I love that it gives the students the chance to decide what is most conducive to their learning.

I feel that giving my students choice is one of the most motivating things I can do for my students.

I was always a mover. I have the hardest time sitting still for more than an hour so I know the difficulties students face each day in school. I want to give them the chance to move and to focus in better ways. I am excited to see what we can accomplish with these new materials!
