This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Physical activity is a vital part of early childhood development. At our school, many of our kindergarten students come from diverse backgrounds and rely on the structure and resources that we can provide during the school day.

We currently have a limited supply of age-appropriate, safe, and engaging play equipment.

Balls and jump ropes are simple yet powerful tools that encourage cooperative play, gross motor skill development and healthy habits. Play that involves jumping, tossing, catching, and balancing helps build coordination, spatial awareness, and even early math skills like counting, patterning and rhythm.
