Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My scholars are ready for activity in the great outdoors! My mission is to spark an interest in every child to play outside in the spring and upcoming summer weather. Please help make outside PE possible and help encourage the scholars to get moving in the fresh air.

My scholars are very unique in many ways!

The boys and girls at my school are passionate about learning and very hard working; they have the drive within to achieve any goal that they set! The rigorous school day at my school makes physical education even more essential for my scholars. My scholars come to class ready to work hard, use energy, build muscle, and gain the skills they need to not only be intelligent adults, but healthy and happy adults as well.

My Project

I would love to get my scholars colored team pinnies in order to maximize PE organization and team fun outside. My scholars have great imaginations and are enthusiastically ready to adapt any lesson to the equipment that we may have or may not have. So far, our team sports have been limited to inside activities where one team stays on one side of the gym and the opposing team stays on the opposite side of the gym or scholars have to hold different colored rings in their hands to tell teams apart. If we can have the opportunity to have pinnies, multiple teams can be playing multiple games at once and team size would be minimized which in result, would maximize each individual scholar's amount of physical activity. I would love to get my scholars pinnies to help bring team sports fully into our school's curriculum. The superskin soft playground balls would also make a large impact, as most of ours are old and worn. Also, the portable score board would bring games to life on the field!

This project is so important because I want to make physical education as fun and differentiated as I possibly can.

If I can expose my students to a large variety of sports and activities, I am confident that each child would find the joy in physical activity that would make him or her become active outside of school.
