Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten class is made up of a variety of cultures, languages, and socioeconomic backgrounds with various levels of learning. No matter our differences, I strive to create a positive and safe environment where every student can be successful in their learning. These days students come in school with weaker fine and gross motor skills, most likely due to lack of physical play. Adding equipment such as balance beams, balls and hula hoops to play with during recess, will help strengthen these skills.
Engaging in physical activity provides better cognitive function that includes academic, social, and physical skills.
These skills are essential to mental processes and impacts various aspects of life. Your donation would provide a variety of equipment like a balance beam that would strengthen fine and gross motor skills, increase focus and attention, promote decision-making, boost reaction time, and bolster cognitive flexibility.
