Help me give my students equipment to make Physical Education class more engaging and fun. Basic materials like jump ropes, balls, beanbags, and ring tossing will make sports and physical activity fun rather than a chore.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are enthusiastic and learning and reading. They love to sit through a good book. They are really into history and social justice. We love games as a whole class, but it has been a challenge to go outside and play with limited resources. We enjoy running and tag games, along with tether ball games. But these can get old quick.
The equipment we are requesting will help us make physical education centers.
I plan to set up a few games outside in which students will get to play in groups of 4-6. Each students will be able to have their hands on equipment the whole time to practice movement. After a few minutes, we will rotate into the next center with different equipment and different games. This will keep the students engaged and moving the whole time! There will be no stand-by nor lost time.
The goal is to keep the students active throughout PE class.
