My Project
While full class instruction is important, it is not the only way of teaching that helps students succeed. Whether I am using homogenous groups or heterogenous groups, students always excel when hearing different thinking processes from the people around them. With desks that are not adaptable to all types of learning, having a designated area with a table and chairs for students to come together is essential.
Small group activities foster and encourage collaborative learning.
In small groups, I am able to give more individualized instruction to the learners who need it most. There is more one-on-one time between students and teachers and students and peers.
