Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I have included cultural dances into our learning. The impact it has had on my students has been great. Attendance has improved and interest has increased among students. Every day I am being asked by students if they can join our after-school dance group. The only problem is we do not have enough supplies. We are in need of folklorico dresses.

My students say, "Dance is fun and I love performing." I want to continue to provide them with the opportunity to continue dancing.

I have been trying to raise money for the many dresses we need through DonorsChoose, and by hosting a tamale fundraiser. We have raised some money, but it has just not been enough to fund all the dresses.

My hope is that donors like you will help me acquire the dresses that we need for our dances. We are in need of six more dresses. I am posting two different projects one for each of the three dresses in hopes that the projects will get funded. I hope you will help fund my project.
