Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first-year special education teacher at SESl. The students that are coming into my classroom this year will have a wide range of disabilities. Their academic, social and emotional levels are varying. With the right types of resources and support, my students can exceed their potential for this upcoming school year.

My students have the skills and the mindset to help themselves succeed holistically.

90% of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunch. We are a Title I school. The opportunity and achievement gaps are apparent among our student population. Special education teachers are expected to deliver excellent instruction in science, math, English, and history without the requisite tools to teach our students.

My Project

The materials I am asking for will make a difference in my students' learning by providing them with a wide range of flex-space seating in order to make their learning comfortable.

One of the most important aspects of a positive classroom is creating a comfortable learning environment.

I want to provide my students with the opportunity to pick and choose from various resources that they find will best suit their needs in the classroom.

By helping me, not only are you helping my students succeed, but you are helping me have a great first year as a teacher! I want to thank you for helping me reach my goal!
