This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Right now, the instruments sit on the floor and the students have to sit on the floor or kneel to play them. It is very uncomfortable for the students. We cannot do the instruments for too long due to this. Stands for the instruments would also make it more physically possible to play the xylophones in class as well as make them movable for performances in another part of the school.

My goals for this project are to make playing the xylophones more accessible to every student and to be able to give my after-school program more performance opportunities.

My students are incredible humans and are eager to make music and share their music with audiences and we are so grateful for anyone who helps us accomplish that! We will use the stands during classroom lessons as well as performances.
