Motivators for Students Planning Their Future

Help me give my students food! Food is a great motivator and invitation for at-risk students who are hesitant to open up to us. They will invest in their learning when they see an investment of food!

My Project

I help students at Evergreen plan their life after high school. But students can be hesitant to open up. Food is a great invitation to explore together their motivation and build relationships!

It's also helpful in giving students something to work towards and find out what they can do.

Students can come pick out food and talk about their plans after high school, or they can complete these projects as they work towards food. It just builds connections in ways I can't describe. Little things like that help students feel like they have a real mentor at school--someone they can trust like another parent.
